For I will (A)no longer have pity on the inhabitants of the land,” declares the Lord; “but behold, I will (B)cause the men to [a]fall, each into another’s [b]power and into the [c]power of his king; and they will strike the land, and I will (C)not deliver them from their [d]power.”

So I (D)pastured the flock doomed to slaughter, [e]hence the (E)afflicted of the flock. And I took for myself two (F)staffs: the one I called [f](G)Favor and the other I called [g](H)Union; so I pastured the flock. Then I annihilated the three shepherds in (I)one month, for my soul was impatient with them, and their soul also [h]was weary of me.
